Even though it was my first time here,
A country that somehow makes me feel nostalgic.
Our company is a pipe manufacturer founded in 1936. We also import processed leaves used for pipe tobacco, but with an eye to the future, we decided to build a factory in Asia to process them in-house. After visiting various countries, we decided on Laos because of its tax system and human resources. It was my first visit to Laos, and the food was cheap and delicious, and the people were kind and happy. It looked like the old Japan, and even though it was my first time there, I felt nostalgic. We built a factory in the PJSEZ and recruited local employees online, and we received many applications for about 10 positions, and on one day we interviewed 150 people. Everyone was so earnest that we wanted to hire them all.
