I'm negotiating seriously to buy a bulk order of dip khao.
If you stuff Khao Niao into the dip Khao
It's little Laos.
There must be something mysterious about baskets that draws people in.
When sticky rice cakes were served in a basket at a restaurant in Luang Prabang, I was glued to it, ignoring my meal. I only learned the name of this container, Dip Khao, after I returned to Tokyo. Since then, I saw baskets everywhere, as if I had come to Laos to buy baskets. I muttered to myself that these unexpected "upside-down" experiences are the fun of traveling...Come to think of it, on a BS travel show, comedian Hiroshi walked around wearing a rice steamer like a hat, and was laughed at by the people of Vientiane. I also have a friend who was brave enough to bring a bamboo side table with a diameter of about 60 cm in his carry-on luggage. I see, with bamboo being abundant in Laos, surely there will be many more wonderful baskets to come across in the future?
If you fill your Dip Khao with Khao Niao and place a small bottle of Beer Lao next to it, you'll be in a little Laos. Toast your dreams at home!
